There aren’t many individuals larger than Ohio State offensive lineman Dawand Jones. He stands at 6-foot-8, 360 pounds, possessing one of the most intimidating frames in the B1G.

New Ohio State offensive line coach Justin Frye has seen a lot of big-bodied lineman in his day. Not many compare to Jones.

Speaking with reporters for the first time since taking the job at Ohio State, Frye was asked for his first impression of Jones. His answer was outstanding.

“Some of the door frames aren’t big enough for him. He’s got to duck his head,” Frye said in a video captured by Griffin Strom of Eleven Warriors. “He’s a large human.”

Not only is Jones a large human, he always gives Frye experience to work with on the front lines. After considering a move to the NFL Draft, the senior offensive tackle announced in mid-January he’d be returning to Columbus for one more season with the Buckeyes.

Jones will be one of the anchors along the offensive line for Ohio State in 2022. He’ll be one of the biggest guys Frye has had to work with in his coaching career.
