The New York Jets appear to have a good one in former Ohio State star Garrett Wilson. Now in his first NFL training camp and preseason, Wilson is gearing up for what he hopes is a strong year as a rookie.

On Thursday, that training camp included a joint practice for the Jets with the New York Giants. During his time on the field, Wilson had a couple of promising strong plays.

One play featured Wilson making a short catch before making one move to get his defender off balance and bounce to the outside and down the sideline. The other play was a strong spinning catch over the middle.

So far in the preseason, Wilson has been mildly productive in his limited game action. He has 5 catches but just 6 total targets directed his way for 40 yards.

At the end of the day, the Jets are likely playing it safe with their young playmaker in the preseason. Wilson is likely to be slotted into a starting spot for much of the season.
