NFL draft expert Bucky Brooks is high on several Buckeyes as the pre-draft process continues.

Brooks released his top five players at every position on Wednesday morning, and four Buckeyes made the cut.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Justin Fields made the top five at quarterback, although Brooks is higher on him than most scouts at this point. Fields has dropped to the consensus No. 3 QB in this class behind Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson, but Brooks still has Fields at No. 2.

“Fields is a five-star talent with outstanding athleticism and playmaking ability,” Brooks wrote. “He had an up-and-down 2020 campaign, but he put up big numbers in some of the Buckeyes’ biggest games while looking like the best player on the field.”

Next was offensive lineman Wyatt Davis. Brooks also has the talented blocker at No. 2 on his interior blocker rankings.

“Davis is a people mover at the point of attack with the combination of size, strength and power to overpower defenders on inside runs,” he wrote. “He is a quick-setter in pass protection with the balance and body control to anchor against power rushers.”

Then there’s running back Trey Sermon and outside linebacker Baron Browning, both of whom made the cut at No. 5 at their respective positions.

All four of those prospects are expected to be taken in the first three rounds of the NFL draft.

The NFL draft is set for April 29-May 1.
