For quite some time now, former Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah has been considered one of the top players available in the 2020 NFL Draft. In almost every mock draft, the ex-Buckeye is listed as the No. 3 selection.

Going a little more in depth, NFL Network analyst Charley Casserly explained what makes Okudah such a strong prospect in this year’s draft. And he had some pretty strong comparisons.

“He is my top CB,” Casserly wrote on Twitter. “[Very good] in press & zone. You don’t see him in much [man-to-man] but I think he can do it. I have him rated coming out of college in the same area as Denzel Ward, Jalen Ramsey, Joe Haden.”

Those are all really good comparisons for Okudah, and show that he could have a long and successful career in the NFL.

Okudah finished last season with 35 tackles, nine pass break-ups, three interceptions and two forced fumbles. He’s not only considered the top corner in this year’s draft by Casserly, but Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay have also been very high on the former Buckeye.

We’ll see if Okudah does end up being the third overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on April 23, the first night of the event.
