Nick Bosa is going to need a new shelf for all the hardware coming his way this year.

Earlier this week, the San Francisco 49ers defensive end was named the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year after an outstanding first season in the league. Now, Bosa has raked in another league honor, being named the 2019 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

The league made the announcement on Saturday. Bosa will play in the Super Bowl on Sunday, as the 49ers take on AFC champions Kansas City Chiefs.

In his rookie season, Bosa collected 47 tackles, nine sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and one interception. San Francisco finished the regular season with a 13-3 record.

Bosa hasn’t slowed down during the postseason. In two games against the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers, the rookie totaled 10 tackles, three sacks and broke up a pass in a pair of victories.

Throughout the season, Bosa frequently collected weekly honors from the NFL for outstanding performances. The former Ohio State star has made quite the name for himself early in his professional career.
