Nick Bosa, Joe Burrow share mic'd-up embrace after 49ers-Bengals game
Nick Bosa had jokes, and a lot of love, for his friend and old teammate, Joe Burrow.
Bosa and Burrow were reunited on the field Sunday as the San Francisco 49ers took on the Cincinnati Bengals. Burrow’s Bengals got the best of Bosa’s 49ers, picking up a 31-17 road victory.
After the game, Bosa joked about Burrow ruining San Francisco’s upcoming bye week with a loss. NFL Films shared a mic’d-up clip that will air on The CW’s “Inside The NFL.”

Bosa and Burrow were Ohio State teammates from 2016 into 2018. The 2017 Ohio State squad won a Big Ten championship and defeated USC in the Cotton Bowl. After OSU’s 2018 spring practice, Burrow opted to hit the NCAA transfer portal when Dwayne Haskins was named the Buckeyes’ starting quarterback.
The 2018 season would be Bosa’s last in Columbus. It would be cut short, as he played in just 3 games before having core muscle surgery.
The Buckeyes went on to win another B1G title and send Urban Meyer off with a Rose Bowl win in 2018. Burrow, meanwhile, guided LSU to a Fiesta Bowl victory as a warm-up to the national championship that followed.
