Nick Bosa has done it again. The former No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft has received more recognition from the league.

Wednesday morning, it was announced that Bosa was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Week after a huge performance against Carolina in Week 8. It is the second time in his young career that he has received that recognition.

Bosa finished Sunday’s game with three sacks, four total tackles, three tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, a pass breakup and his first-career interception. The 49ers defeated the Panthers 51-13. San Francisco is now 7-0 on the season.

In his first seven career games in the NFL, Bosa has collected 20 tackles, seven sacks, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass. Not a bad start to an NFL career.

On Thursday Bosa will be on the opposite side of No. 1 overall draft pick Kyler Murray as the 49ers play the Arizona Cardinals.
