In a statement published on Twitter, Palazeti called coaching at Ohio State the “privilege of a lifetime.” He went on to thank AD Gene Smith, head coach Ryan Day and the rest of the strength staff.

“Coaching at The Ohio State University has been a privilege of a lifetime,” wrote Palazeti.

“Thank you Gene Smith, Coach Day, Coach Mick & Heather Mason, and all the amazing support staff members.

“To the Players-I love you, thank you for making me a better Coach and Man. I am forever grateful.”

Palazeti has been a part of Ohio State’s staff since 2017 and was a player for Michigan State during his time in college. According to a previous report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Palazeti is expected to be named the director of football sports performance under new head coach Scott Satterfield at Cincinnati.
