Aaron Scott, a 4-star cornerback in the Class of 2024 cycle and the No. 1 overall prospect out of Ohio, announced Sunday that he will stay home, committing to play for Ryan Day and the Buckeyes.
Ohio State was always going to be hard to beat for the other teams pursuing Scott, of which there are many. Oregon and Michigan especially were considered frontrunners alongside OSU.
As for Scott himself, his pure athleticism has been on display his entire college career. He plays football, basketball and competes in track and field at Springfield HS in Springfield, Ohio. As a junior, Scott intercepted 5 passes with 2 touchdowns, 3 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery to go with 21 tackles.

Scott is now the 5th highest rated verbal commit on Ohio State’s 2024 lineup, which is ranked No. 2 overall nationally behind the goliath of recruiting right now, Georgia.
He’s the Buckeyes’ 2nd highest rated defensive commit, behind only 5-star DL Justin Scott, who committed to OSU on July 2.
