Ohio State’s duo of Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson hit the field for their NFL Combine workouts Thursday night. Both shine in the 40-yard dash but it was Olave’s unofficial time of 4.26 that had people talking.

Had Olave’s original time been confirmed, it would have put him in the conversation for the fastest time at wide receiver in the Combine. After the official times were announced late in the evening, Olave still came in with a sub-4.4 time but it was Wilson who clocked in just a hair faster.

When the official times were announced, Wilson finished with a 4.38 time while Olave was a shade behind at 4.39. The official adjustment from Olave’s 4.26 time was among the largest changes in times for the day.

Baylor’s Tyquan Thornton – originally clocked at 4.21 – finished with the fastest time of the group at 4.28.

Even with the adjustment, Olave’s time still stands out in a positive way. After measuring a little over 6-foot and weighing in at 187 lbs., Olave – and Wilson – solidified his position as one of the best receiving prospects in the draft.
