In addition to this being a major game for the Buckeyes on the gridiron, it’s setting up to be a massive recruiting weekend.
Lonergan is a 4-star prospect in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s currently ranked as the No. 77 overall player and the No. 6 quarterback in the class.
He received an offer from Ohio State back in June. Lonergan, who is from Snellville, Georgia, also picked up an Alabama offer back in April.
It’s still early in the 2023 cycle, so Ohio State’s recruiting class for that year has just one commitment so far: 4-star tight end Ty Lockwood. The class currently ranks No. 15 nationally and No. 4 in the Big Ten, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Kick off vs. Oregon is at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
