Deliberations amongst the Ohio State Board of Trustees have exceeded eight hours but athletic director Gene Smith has finally arrived on campus, according to reports.
Smith arrived shortly after 5 p.m. ET, eight hours after the trustees began the meeting to discuss the future of head coach Urban Meyer and any potential punishment he may face. Smith, however, did not speak to any reporters upon his arrival.

Meyer showed up at around 10 a.m. and his wife, Shelley, arrived at 2:30 p.m. Still, no decision has been made involving the head coach.
The decision was expected to come sometime Wednesday.
There have been reports that the trustees want to reinstate Meyer immediately, but Ohio State University President Michael Drake wants the head coach to serve a suspension. According to the report from Dave Biddle of Bucknuts, Meyer is refusing to accept a suspension.
According to reports earlier in the day, a decision on Meyer’s future may, or may not, come on Wednesday.
