Ohio State AD Gene Smith reveals potential plans for fan attendance to spring game

Ohio State has not set a date for the annual spring game, but Ohio State AD Gene Smith is still hoping to have fans in attendance when the time comes.
Smith met with the media and discussed his potential plans for the spring game. According to Nathan Baird with Cleveland.com, Smith said the game is still on hold, but the university will not charge for attendance when the time comes.
If fans are cleared to attend in a limited capacity when the spring game does go down, Smith is hoping to extend the opportunity to attend to some of the frontline workers in Ohio:
“My hope is that we’ll have an opportunity to develop a strategy to recognize frontline people — our nurses, our doctors, our custodians, our bus drivers, and all those people who made so many sacrifices for us for a long time now. And of course, obviously, the parents of our student-athletes,” said Smith.
Hopefully Ohio State is cleared for a spring game with fan attendance down the road. It would definitely be a great chance to show off the quarterback battle of the Buckeyes.
