Ohio State adds commitment from 4-star safety out of New Jersey
Jaylen McClain, a 4-star safety out of West Orange, New Jersey, announced Monday that he will continue his football journey at Ohio State. He committed to the Buckeyes over the likes of Notre Dame, USC, Oregon and Penn State.
McClain stands at 6-foot, 185 pounds and is set to enter his senior year at Seton Hall Prep. He committed to OSU following an official visit this past weekend.

McClain is the 14th commitment for Ohio State in the 2024 cycle. He’s also Ohio State’s first defensive back pledge of the class.
McClain is considered to be the No. 243 prospect in the country, as well as the No. 22 safety and No. 3 player from the state of New Jersey.
