Ohio State adds four-star linebacker to Class of 2017
The Ohio State Buckeyes’ recruiting class for 2017 is just ridiculous.
Prior to this afternoon, Urban Meyer’s class ranked No. 2 in the entire country and aside from its six different five-star players already signed, the Buckeyes had nine different four-star recruits as well. Now, you can count 10 different four-star recruits committed to playing for Ohio State next season.

Pete Werner is a four-star outside linebacker who is the second-highest ranked player coming out of Indiana. The 6-foot-3 play-maker initially committed to Notre Dame in March, but a Nov. 26 visit to Ohio State went a long way in changing his mind.
Of course, when the Buckeyes beat Michigan in Columbus, how could an incoming recruit not get a little hyped up?
Werner decided to decommit from Notre Dame two weeks ago and is now the second linebacker to commit to the Buckeyes in this class. Ohio State has the top B1G class in 2017 – Michigan is ranked at No. 8 by 247 Sports – and only trails Alabama in terms of the site’s composite score.
Take a look at what Werner has been doing on high school fields recently:
