Ohio State has added another piece to the scheduling puzzle.

Wednesday, it was announced that the Buckeyes have added Bowling Green to the home slate for the 2027 season. The game was scheduled to be played in 2020 but was called off because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both the B1G and MAC played a conference-only regular season.

The 2027 game will serve as the make-up date for the previously-scheduled contest. The game will be played on Sept. 4.

Adding Bowling Green to the schedule will round out all three of Ohio State’s games that year. The Buckeyes will travel to Boston College and will also have a colossal showdown against Alabama in Columbus.

Ohio State and Bowling Green have played five times, the Buckeyes winning each matchup. The last meeting was a 77-10 victory for the Buckeyes in Columbus in 2016.
