Ohio State has rounded out its nonconference schedule for the 2026 season.

Friday afternoon, the school announced it has added MAC foe Kent State to the slate. The Golden Flashes will travel to Columbus to take on the Buckeyes on Sept. 19, 2026.

Kent State will be the second MAC team on the nonconference scheduled for Ohio State in 2026. The Buckeyes will host Ball State on Sept. 5, as well.

Ohio State will travel to Austin to play Texas in the lone Power 5 matchup of the 3-game nonconference slate.

The last time Ohio State and Kent State met on the gridiron came in 2014, a 66-0 blowout victory for the Buckeyes. Ohio State leads the all-time series 3-0, with the other meetings coming in 2007 and 2002.
