Ohio State adds MAC opponent to future home schedule
The Buckeyes have added a school from the MAC to their 2024 football schedule.
Western Michigan will come to Columbus to play Ohio State on Sept. 21 of that year. It was first reported by Bill Rabinowitz of The Columbus Dispatch.

This will only be their 2nd all-time meeting to date. The first time these 2 schools played was in 2015 as Ohio State won 38-12.
By adding Western Michigan to the 2024 schedule, this gives OSU its 3rd and final non-conference game of that season. The Buckeyes are also playing Washington and Southern Miss on Aug. 31 and Sept. 14 that year, respectively.
After those 3 games are when the conference play around the B1G starts and that means OSU will take on Illinois on Sept. 28.
