Ohio State adds to impressive 2023 class with commit from in-state ATH
Ohio State has been killing it on the 2023 recruiting trail as of late. The Buckeyes just added another 4-star on Friday.
Jermaine Mathews committed to the Buckeyes on Friday from his Twitter account. He is a 4-star athlete per the 247Sports Composite. Mathews chose Ohio State over Penn State, Oklahoma, Jackson State, LSU, and Cincinnati. While he is listed as an athlete, his speciality seems to be DB.
Here is Mathews’ post about his commitment:

It looks like another DB is heading to Columbus. Mathews will be Ohio State’s 16th commit from the 2023 class. The Buckeyes currently have 2 5-star commits, 13 4-star commits, and 1 3-star commit.
The in-state product has decided that he will not be leaving Ohio.
With the launch coming on January 1, 2023, Ohio sports betting is almost here. Just like a number of other Big Ten states, Ohio sports fans will soon be able to place legalized bets through reputable, regulated entities such as FanDuel, DraftKings, Caesars and more.
