Ohio State has done some revising of its non-conference schedule for 2024 and beyond.

The Buckeyes announced on Wednesday they’ve added 3 new non-conference games in upcoming seasons. The school also changed the date of an existing non-conference game in 2024.

The Buckeyes will add one non-conference matchup in 2024, and two games in 2029. Ohio State will face off with Marshall on Sept. 21, 2024. For the Buckeyes’ non-conference games in 2029, they will face off against Nevada on Sept. 1 and Charlotte on Sept. 8. All 3 will be played at Ohio Stadium.

In another move, the Western Michigan game during the 2024 season has been rescheduled from Sept. 21 to Sept. 7.

The Thundering Herd and the Buckeyes have met twice before, including a down-to-the-wire meeting in 2004. In that matchup, Marshall and Ohio State were tied at 21-all when the Buckeyes’ kicker, Mike Nugent, hit a 55-yard field goal as time expired to win it 24-21.

The 2010 matchup between the two teams was a bit more in the Buckeyes’ favor, as they took home a 45-7 win over the Thundering Herd.

Ohio State has faced Western Michigan once, a 38-12 Buckeye win at Ohio Stadium in the 2015 season.

The Buckeyes have never faced Charlotte or Nevada.
