Ohio State has announced its team captains for the 2021 campaign.
Leading the Buckeyes will be senior offensive lineman Thayer Munford, senior defensive tackle Haskell Garrett, junior receiver Kamryn Babb, senior linebacker Teradja Mitchell, senior receiver Chris Olave and junior defensive end Zach Harrison.
That’s six captains for the Buckeyes, who open their season in less than two weeks.
It breaks down as four seniors and two juniors. Three of the seniors — Munford, Garrett and Olave — were All-Big Ten performers a year ago and could have left for the NFL.
Harrison and Babb are the lone juniors to be named captains. Harrison is a former 5-star who is hoping to have a breakout campaign in 2021. Defensive line coach Larry Johnson said earlier this week that he’s been impressed with Harrison this fall.
