One Ohio State assistant was not having a great evening after taking a loss to Michigan in The Game. That would be Tim Walton, one of the secondary coaches on Ryan Day’s staff.

Following The Game, Walton responded to an Instagram live clip of Roman Wilson’s comments about toughness. Wilson called out Ohio State for a lack of toughness after the loss, saying the Buckeyes have guys who “want to act hard” but are not tough on film.

In his comments, Walton said the comments “sound stupid” and “you were not tough.” Walton also referenced Wilson getting credited with a touchdown on a play the OSU assistant referred to as “a lucky call.”

While some things can be photoshopped these days, the comment on Instagram does appear to lead back to Walton’s official Instagram account:

If that is indeed authentic, that is certainly not a great look for Ohio State or Day’s coaching staff to have an assistant chirping at rival players. That goes double after losing on the field in The Game.
