Ohio State has a really good problem at quarterback right now. That is, it has two quarterbacks who have been sensational in the first two outings.
Dwayne Haskins has thrown nine touchdown passes in his first two games as the Buckeyes have racked up 77 and 52 points against Oregon State and Rutgers, respectively. Tate Martell completed 10-of-10 passes for a touchdown and nearly rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown against the Scarlet Knights Saturday.
It’s safe to say that if Haskins wasn’t in Columbus, Martell would still have things under control.
After the tremendous outing from both quarterbacks, one reporter asked Martell a very specific question. But Martell didn’t have any words, only a smile.
“Do you hope Dwayne Haskins goes to the NFL after this year?”
Q: Do you hope Dwayne Haskins goes to the NFL after this year?
Tate Martell responded only with a smile.

Obviously Martell isn’t going to answer that seriously, but it is an interesting question to wonder.
Both quarterbacks have been sensational through the first two games as the Buckeyes have started the season 2-0. And it’s good to know that, in the event that something happens to Haskins, Martell can step in without much of an issue.
Next week, the Buckeyes will take on TCU. We’ll see if both quarterbacks see the field again in a week.
