Ohio State beats Alabama, Clemson and others for commitment from 4-star DL out of Indiana
Ohio State’s 2022 recruiting class received a big present one day before the Early Signing Period kicks off.
Tuesday afternoon, the Buckeyes landed a pledge from Indiana 4-star defensive lineman Caden Curry. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound lineman was considering Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, Oregon and Indiana as potential destinations.

Curry made his announcement on CBS Sports. He becomes the 19th player of the 2022 recruiting class to join Ohio State. The Buckeyes currently own the B1G’s top-ranked recruiting class.

Per 247Sports composite rankings, Curry ranks as the No. 88 overall prospect in the cycle and is the No. 14 defensive lineman. Out of Indiana, Curry is listed as the No. 3 recruit.
During an incredible high school career at Center Grove, Curry was responsible for 290 tackles, 83.5 for loss and 28 sacks. He was also credited with 3 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries and 3 pass break-ups.
In the 2021 campaign, he posted a staggering 24 tackles for loss and 7 sacks. He racked up 65 total stops for Center Grove.
More than two dozen programs showed interest in the defensive lineman. Other B1G programs to show interest included Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin.
