Ohio State has won a big recruiting battle with some of the premier programs in college football.
Wednesday afternoon, 3-star cornerback Ryan Turner confirmed his commitment to the Buckeyes, becoming the 12th member of the team’s 2022 recruiting class. He picked Ohio State over offers from Clemson, Penn State and two dozen other programs.
“A heartfelt thank you to my parents, siblings, coaches, teammates, friends and family for believing in me and for your unwavering support,” Turner wrote on Twitter. “To all the coaches who reached out to me during this recruiting process showing major love, I thank you! After speaking with my family I am prepared to announce that I am committed to the Ohio State University.”

Turner is listed as a 6-foot, 180-pound cornerback out of Hollywood, Florida. He’s ranked as the No. 34 corner in the class and is a Top 50 prospect from Florida, per 247Sports. Overall, he’s a Top 400 talent in the 2022 cycle.
In addition to Ohio State, Penn State and Clemson, Turner also received offers from big-time programs like Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Oregon, Texas A&M and Wisconsin.
