Ohio State added another blue-chip prospect to its loaded 2025 recruiting class on Monday.

Maxwell Roy is the newest Buckeye pledge. The talented defensive lineman took to social media to announce his plans to play for Ryan Day’s program.

Out of St. Joseph’s Prep School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Roy is listed as measuring 6-3 and 285 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Roy is rated 4-stars, the No. 8 player in the state of Pennsylvania, No. 26 defensive lineman and No. 229 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.

Roy made his commitment announcement after picking up scholarship offers from 17 programs. Ohio State, Michigan and Rutgers were the three schools to host him on campus for official visits. Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC and Wisconsin are among the other schools that showed interest.

The newest Buckeye commit wore No. 77 while on his most recent OSU visit in Columbus. The staff also hosted him in March.
