Ohio State gets a big and surprising commitment with one month left until the 2022 National Signing Day. 4-star interior offensive lineman Carson Hinzman has made a commitment to Ohio State out of 20 other collegiate programs that have made him an offer.
He is the third-ever high school prospect from the state of Wisconsin to commit to Ohio State.

Hinzman is now only the third-ever player from Wisconsin to play for Ohio State. The first since C Jimmie Meckstroth (1971-72). Cannot be overstated how rare it is for OSU to win a battle like this in WI.
“I didn’t know that. It’s pretty cool,” Hinzman said of the above stat.— Garrick Hodge (@Garrick_Hodge) January 4, 2022
