Ohio State catches major break as apparent Devin Brown fumble goes unreviewed
The Ohio State Buckeyes appear to have caught a huge break against the Missouri Tigers in the first half of the Cotton Bowl.
With the Buckeyes deep in their own territory, Devin Brown was sacked by Johnny Walker Jr. and lost the football. It was ruled a fumble that was recovered by Brown. However, as you can see in the video replay, Brown did not recover the ball:

The play was not reviewed and the Buckeyes maintained possession of the ball. Had the play been reviewed, the Tigers likely would have had the ball in the red zone. Instead, Ohio State was able to punt and Missouri was not able score on its ensuing possession.
Points have been hard to come by thus far in the game. At the half, the Buckeyes have a 3-0 lead, but have managed just 76 total yards of offense. The Buckeyes have gone 0-for-8 on third downs and have just 20 yards through the air.
The Buckeye defense has been sturdy as well, holding the Tigers to just 112 total yards of offense. Brady Cook entered the half with just 28 passing yards.
