Powers is a 4-star Ohio State commit coming in at 6-foot-4, 23o pounds per the 247Sports composite. He chose the Buckeyes over various Power 5 schools including Boston College, Arkansas, Colorado, and Florida State. He has been committed to Ohio State since August of 2020.
Powers and the Monarchs made it all the way to the regional finals of the OHSAA High School Football Playoffs. However, they were shutout 26-0 by the Springfield Wildcats.
Powers could be fun to watch if his skill translates to college.
