With the first full week of the college football season officially in the books, ESPN has released its top five teams in its weekly power rankings.

Ohio State was the lone B1G team to make the cut.

The first week of the season kicked off on Thursday and came to a close five days later, with Notre Dame-Louisville being the final game of the weekend. Now that every team has played, ESPN has unveiled which teams it views as the five best in the country.

Ohio State comes in at No. 5.

The Buckeyes posted a convincing 45-21 victory over Florida Atlantic on Saturday to start the year 1-0. They started off hot, scoring touchdowns on their first four possessions of the game to build a big early lead.

FAU was able to make a few stops after the first quarter and get the ball across the goal line to make the final score a little more competitive, but Ohio State was fairly dominant for most of the game. It was good enough to earn a spot in ESPN’s top five.

Next up, Ohio State will welcome in a 1-0 Cincinnati team coached by longtime Buckeye assistant Luke Fickell. After beating UCLA, there’s a good shot both teams could be ranked heading into Ohio Stadium on Saturday.
