Ohio State DB Jyaire Brown had an early mistake against Wisconsin that cost the defense some penalty yards. Ohio State DB coach Tim Walton talked about how Brown handled that moment per Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors.
Brown was called for pass interference in the 2nd quarter of the game. The drive eventually ended with a Wisconsin touchdown, but Ohio State was up 28-7 after the score.
Walton stated that he told Brown to move on and only focus on the things he can control. Brown handled it well. Walton seemed proud of Brown and how he kept his cool the rest of the way.
“The ref isn’t gonna change the call no matter how mad you get,” said Walton.

Ohio State went on to beat Wisconsin 52-21 in its B1G home opener. Graham Mertz was limited to only 94 yards passing with 1 touchdown and 1 interception as the secondary did its job.
Brown is only in his first year with the Ohio State program, but is showing a lot of maturity for his age.
