A Louisiana native, Brown finished his high school career at Lakota West in West Chester, Ohio. On the 247Sports Composite, Brown was rated 4-stars, the No. 8 recruit in the state of Ohio, No. 24 cornerback and No. 192 prospect overall in the Class of 2022. He picked up 25 scholarship offers, signing with Ohio State over Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame and others.
In 2022, Brown played the most snaps on defense (197) among true freshmen, while also contributing on special teams. He recorded 8 tackles, 3 pass breakups and 1 forced fumble over 10 games.
Brown’s playing time dropped off this season. His OSU bio lists him as a 4-game participant, recording 1 tackle on the season, a solo stop against Michigan State. Players are allowed to redshirt one time in a season where they play in 4 games or fewer.
We’ll see what’s next for Brown.
