Mitchell Melton’s career at Ohio State has been stung with injuries early on. Unfortunately, he’s dealing with another one that has his 2022 campaign in jeopardy.
A member of the 2020 recruiting class, Melton appeared in one game as a true freshman during the shortened COVID-19 season for the Buckeyes. Then, he missed the entirety of the 2021 season after an injury during spring practices.
Now, Melton is once again sidelined after an injury in the spring game. On Friday, DC Jim Knowles revealed Melton’s latest injury will make it “tough” for the defender to get on the field for the 2022 season.
Jim Knowles said he doesn’t have a “total answer” on whether Mitchell Melton will be able to play this fall after getting injured in the spring game, but “I think it’s gonna be tough.”
