Ohio State DE Nick Bosa recorded 16 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks in 2017, looking a lot like his older brother, Joey.

Joey, who is now a star for the Los Angeles Chargers, is indeed the player most draft analysts use as a comparison for Nick.

When you’ve been following in someone’s footsteps for as long as Nick has followed behind Joey, sometimes those comps can get tiresome. However, in an interview with Athlon Sports, the younger Bosa said the comparisons with Joey have never bothered him:

People have said you’re a clone of your brother. I imagine you take that as a compliment, but there might be a part of you that’s a little bothered that you’re constantly compared to him.

I’ve never been bothered by being compared. That’s obviously going to happen when you have two similar-looking people who have similar games and similar moves and play the exact same position. But I just come out and do my thing and strive to be better than him.

So it doesn’t bug you?

No. It never bugs me.

Joey was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, but that’s where Nick could one-up his older brother.

Some mock drafts have the younger Bosa going No. 1 or No. 2 overall, so we’ll have to see how the draft plays out next year.
