Ohio State defense gashed for multiple plays of 60+ yards in humiliating performance vs. Michigan
Michigan decimated Ohio State on Saturday, cutting the Buckeye defense for multiple plays of more than 60 yards during The Game on Saturday.
The Wolverines walked away with their first win in Columbus in 22 years, beating down the Buckeyes 45-23. The Buckeye defense allowed multiple gains of huge chunk yardage that set up the win for the Wolverines.
The Buckeyes were more focused on Michigan’s run game, which has been a hallmark of the Wolverine offense this season. But in defending the run, Ohio State failed to stop the pass, letting JJ McCarthy air the ball out on multiple occasions.
Explosive plays have done in Ohio State's defense. Four out of Michigan's five touchdowns have been by 69, 75, 45 and 75 yards.

After giving up big plays through the air, Ohio State tried to adjust. That opened running lanes for more big plays on the ground from Donovan Edwards.

Saturday’s win was the 2nd consecutive win against the Buckeyes and 2nd consecutive win as division champions for the Wolverines. A win over the Buckeyes not only crowned Michigan as B1G division champions but cemented the Wolverines’ position as CFP contenders as well.
