Ohio State took just a little bit of time to get rolling against Akron. But once the Buckeyes found their stride, they never looked back.

When the final whistle blew, Ohio State walked away with a 59-7 win to improve to 3-1 on the season. True freshmen shined offensively with QB Kyle McCord and running back TreVeyon Henderson accounting for 4 TDs.

Defensively, the Buckeyes held Akron to just 5-for-18 on third-down conversions. The Zips also failed to score on their last 12 possessions of the game.

On Sunday, the Buckeyes handed out Players of the Game for the win. Those honorees were Tyleik Williams (Defensive), Jesse Mirco (Special Teams), and Dawand Jones and Garrett Wilson (Co-Offensive).

In Week 5, will head on the road to face Rutgers. That kickoff is set for 3:30 pm EST on BTN.
