Ohio State received some more good news on Tuesday afternoon.

Defensive lineman Haskell Garrett has decided to remain at Ohio State for one more season and will suit up for the Buckeyes in 2021. He joins wide receiver Chris Olave and defensive linemen Tyreke Smith and Antwuan Jackson to decide to come back to Columbus for one more year with the program.

Garrett posted a video on Twitter to make his announcement. The defensive lineman had a strong season for the Buckeyes in 2020, so his presence will be a huge boost for Ohio State in the trenches next fall.

Garrett ended the 2020 season with 20 tackles, 4 for loss, 2 sacks, a pass break-up, an interception and one defensive touchdown. He helped lead the Buckeyes to a 7-1 record and earn a berth in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

In four seasons, Garrett has collected 40 tackles and 6.5 stops for loss with Ohio State.

Considering all Ohio State is losing to the NFL Draft, having another seasoned veteran back along the defensive line will be a big boost for the 2021 season. It should be fun to see Garrett back on the field next fall.
