Ohio State football dropped a hype video that can only be described as unique as the No. 2-ranked Buckeyes prepare for their next matchup on the schedule against Northwestern on the road.

And it really did have everything, focused around being “different” as the team heads down the final stretch of the regular season and prepares to make a big run in the College Football Playoff. It is a narrative that Buckeyes wide receivers coach Brian Hartline has steadily preached, and one that head coach Ryan Day holds close as well.

It’s an important mentality for the team’s national championship hopes, which could be a very real reality for the 2024 season.

“Being a Buckeye is different,” Day said in the video. “This team right here is different and they understand what it means to be a Buckeye.”

Here’s a look at the full hype video, released Thursday on game week:

Ohio State and Northwestern are set to kick off at noon ET on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Wrigley Field. The Buckeyes are unsurprisingly heavily favored in this one, improving their record to 8-1 with Saturday’s 45-0 shutout win over the Purdue Boilermakers.

The Wildcats sit at 4-5 following their 26-20 overtime victory over the exact same Purdue opponent on Saturday, Nov. 2.
