Though Ohio State is outside the College Football Playoff, the Rose Bowl brings with it plenty to play for as the team builds for 2022. After all, it is the Granddaddy of Them All.

The Buckeyes are in Pasadena for their first Rose Bowl since 2019 at the conclusion of the 2018 season. Ohio State is also riding a 3-game winning streak in the Rose Bowl, going back to a 1997 win under John Cooper.

This time around, the Buckeyes will face Utah as the champions of the Pac-12. And after the disappointments of 2021, ending the year with a quality bowl win would be a nice touch.

On Friday, Ohio State dropped its hype video for the Granddaddy of Them All, and it is a dandy. Check it out:

The New Year’s Day kickoff is set for 5 pm EST on ESPN.
