Ohio State drops hype video for upcoming game vs. Purdue
If you need help getting hyped up for Saturday’s Buckeye-Boilermaker brawl, the Ohio State media department is here to lend some assistance.
The Buckeyes shared this week’s hype video Thursday night. You hear head coach Ryan Day speaking to his team and get a glimpse into a message quarterback CJ Stroud delivered.

“Here’s the thing—I was thinking about this driving into work today—it’s not easy to be great, is it? It’s just not,” Day begins. “One of the things a great team has, the thing that comes to mind, to me, is consistency. Bring it every single week because if you don’t, are you great? You’re not. What we’re doing here is we’re chasing greatness. Every day we’re chasing to be great. If someone says you’re a great team, it’s because you bring it week in and week out. It doesn’t matter where, it doesn’t matter who, you bring it every single week.

“Can we be consistent week in and week out and show everybody that this team can be great?”
Ohio State, up to No. 4 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, is looking for some revenge this weekend.
The last time the Buckeyes faced Purdue, the Boilermakers blew up Ohio State’s CFP dreams in 2018 in a 49-20 win in West Lafayette. The team that comes to Columbus on Saturday will be looking to do the same.
The “Spoilermakers,” as Purdue has been dubbed, have already knocked off top-5 opponents twice this season. Purdue downed then-No. 2 Iowa on the road 24-7 on Oct. 16 and just last weekend toppled then-No. 3 Michigan State 40-29.
The Boilermakers, now ranked No. 19, are 6-3 on the season and right in the thick of the Big Ten West divisional race.
Ohio State (8-1, 6-0 Big Ten) can’t afford another loss if it wants to make it back to the College Football Playoff.
Things could get real interesting. The pair kicks off against each other at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC
