Former Ohio State defensive tackle Tommy Togiai showed off his impressive strength during the team’s pro day on Tuesday.
Togiai had set a goal of hitting 50 reps on the 225-pound bench press during his pro day on Tuesday. While he didn’t quite hit that record-breaking total, he still put up a huge number.
Togiai threw up the bar 40 times on Tuesday afternoon. He made it look pretty effortless for the most part, too. Below is the video of Togiai’s impressive performance on the bench press:

Togiai improved his draft stock during the 2020 season, producing a strong year and helping Ohio State finish the season 7-1 and reach the national championship. He totaled 23 tackles, 4.5 for loss, 3 sacks, 2 pass break-ups and a forced fumble.
Even in a shorter season, those were all career highs for the defensive tackle.
We’ll see if Togiai continues to improve his stock throughout the day with the NFL Draft now just a month away.
