Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, tight end Cade Stover, and wide receiver Xavier Johnson have received the honor.
Eichenberg, a senior, collected 120 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks for the Buckeyes in 2022. Stover is considered one of the top tight end prospects for the 2024 NFL Draft and collected 36 catches for 406 yards and 5 touchdowns last season. Johnson, in addition to being named a captain, also recently received the coveted “Block O” jersey.
Johnson has not played a large role on the field, but is looked to as a leader and has consistently impressed the coaches after originally being a walk-on.
Eichenberg and Stover were captains for the 2022 season as well.
