Ohio State has reportedly promoted from within to fill the vacant TE position after the departure of OC/TE coach Kevin Wilson per Columbus Dispatch’s Bill Rabinowitz.

Wilson will be departing the Buckeyes for the head coaching position at Tulsa after the College Football Playoff.

The coach spent 8 seasons as Oklahoma’s offensive coordinator under Bob Stoops from 2002-10, and then became head coach at Indiana in 2011. He will depart Columbus after 5 years with the Ohio State program.

The Buckeyes announced on Saturday that they would be promoting Keenan Bailey to tight ends coach. Bailey currently holds the position of senior advisor to the head coach, and previously served as the quality-control coach for the team.

Bailey is in his seventh season with Ohio State in 2022, where he mostly worked with the WRs and QBs as quality control coach. After his promotion to special advisor, Bailey was responsible for analysis of team and opponent game performance for the Buckeyes.
