Ohio State freshman DB Denzel Burke updates status before showdown with Michigan
On Saturday the Ohio State defense bounced back from giving up 31 points during the Buckeyes blowout win over Purdue the week before, holding No. 7 Michigan State to just a single touchdown during their 56-7 blasting of the Spartans.
Defensive back Denzel Burke has emerged as a force for the Buckeyes this season, but had to exit the game with the Spartans at one point for what appeared to be a shoulder injury — Burke ultimately returned.

Burke has said he’ll be ready for this weekend’s showdown with No. 6 Michigan.

The injury took place after Burke made an incredible pass breakup on Jayden Reed. He was underneath Reed during the play, and managed to punch the ball loose resulting in the play being reviewed for a fumble. The drive ultimately ended up in a missed MSU field goal.
Burke is set to matchup with Michigan’s Cornelius Johnson this weekend when the Buckeyes head to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan in the final game of the season. Kickoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 27 at 11:00 AM.
