Ohio State had more than $200 million in operating revenue in 2018, according to a report from USA Today.
According to the report, Ohio State had $205.6 million in operating revenue and $203.9 million in expense for 2018. Texas A&M also generated over $200 million in revenue but its expenses were closer to $165 million.
Ohio State saw significant increases in revenue and expenses from the previous year. Revenue increased by approximately $20 million while expenses increased by around $30 million. Since 2015, Ohio State’s expenses have jumped up by nearly $50 million, according to USA Today.
Per the report, Ohio State saw a $17 million increase in media revenue, which bumped from $25.6 million to $42.6 million in 2018. That’s a result of the B1G’s new television contract deals, which took effect in the 2018 fiscal year.
There was also an increase in ticket sales by $7.6 million.
