Amid speculation about whether their game with Illinois being played this weekend, the Ohio State football team participated in a walkthrough on Wednesday.

Reports were widespread on Wednesday that the program was dealing with a mild COVID-19 outbreak based on some positive results.

Signs have been pointing toward the game moving forward, and that was further fueled by tweets from the team’s practice held on Thanksgiving Day.

According to Buckeyes Wire, a spokesman at Illinois and received confirmation that the game is still on at this point.

“We can’t speak on the health of the Ohio State players,” the spokesman said in an email to Buckeyes Wire. “As happens each week, especially during this environment, schools talk to each other several times each week leading up to a game in case something were to happen. If anything changes to the status of the game, we’ll certainly share that info as soon as possible. No indication of a change at this point.”

As of now, the Illini will host Ohio State on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 11:00AM at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, Illinois.
