Ohio State basketball earned its best win of the season on Saturday, blitzing Kentucky 85-65 at Madison Square Garden. Bruce Thornton was magnificent for the Buckeyes, dropping 30 points with 4 rebounds and 3 assists on 8-13 shooting.

This goes down as, by far, Ohio State’s best win of the season to this point. Fitting that it came against Aaron Bradshaw’s former team, too.

Now, the name of the game is stringing together wins entering the bulk of conference play. Ohio State has yet to post any bad losses, but its resume was lacking before tonight’s win over the Wildcats.

And as you’ll notice from the score, Ohio State controlled things pretty much from start to finish. Thornton was consistently great, but John Mobley Jr. also had a fantastic game by finishing with 15 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.

Ohio State now looks ahead to Indiana State on December 29 ahead of conference play, which resumes on Friday, January 3 against Michigan State. The Buckeyes are currently 1-1 in Big Ten play after falling to Maryland but beating Rutgers.
