Ohio State has canceled its game for Saturday.

Okay, if you are worried about the football game between the Buckeyes and Michigan State, relax for a second. This cancellation deals with Chris Holtmann’s basketball team.

The cancellation is for Ohio State hoops and Saturday evening’s non-conference game against Alabama A&M. According to the statement by Ohio State, the cancellation is out of an abundance of caution related to the latest testing results within A&M’s team:

Obviously, both teams would rather be playing than sitting, but on the surface, this is a relatively small non-conference game. Barring a late addition, the Buckeyes will return to action against Notre Dame on Dec. 8 as a part of the B1G/ACC Challenge.

So far, Holtmann’s squad is 3-0 on the young season. Ohio State has wins over Illinois State, UMass Lowell, and Morehead State.

On the gridiron, Ohio State is expected to return to action after traveling to East Lansing on Friday. The game against Michigan State is set to kick off at 12 pm EST on ABC.
