Ohio State perennially pulls in top high school recruiting classes. That trend seems to be continuing in 2025, and the team added another solid prospect on Monday night.

Jordyn Woods, a 3-star defensive back from Georgia, announced his commitment to the Buckeyes, flipping from Cincinnati.

“O-H-I-O! I’m home,” said the talented prospect.

Woods stars for Cartersville High School in Cartersville, GA. Per the 247Sports Composite ranking, Woods is the No. 117 cornerback in the 2025 class and the No. 143 prospect out of Georgia. The DB has great size at 6-5, 195 pounds, and has the speed to play on the inside or outside.

The Georgia native had been committed to Cincinnati since June but was in attendance for Ohio State’s win over Indiana in Week 13. The DB clearly liked what he saw and will join the Buckeyes in 2025. Woods had offers from Michigan State, Virginia, Boston College, and others before flipping to Ohio State.

The Buckeyes only had 2 true cornerbacks committed in the 2025 class, so the addition of Woods will offer solid depth at the position. This flip comes just over a week before Early Signing Day, which takes place on December 4th-6th.

As things currently stand, the Buckeyes boast the No. 2 class in the country for 2025. The class is anchored by 3 5-stars and 18 4-stars.
