Ohio State is already adding some pieces to the 2025 recruiting class, and Ryan Day’s program added a key in-state piece on Wednesday.

The player is Tavien St. Clair, a quarterback out of Bellefontaine High School in Ohio. Though early in the process, St. Clair made the move to give his commitment to the Buckeyes.

Since the start of May, St. Clair has been racking up offers with Penn State, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, LSU, Alabama and Michigan some of the major programs to offer St. Clair before his commitment. St. Clair tagged his announcement with “dreams to reality” and said “It just means more to be a Buckeye.”

St. Clair is listed at 6-foot-3.5 and 210 pounds. The 247 Sports Composite rates him as a 3-star recruit but he is rated as a 4-star prospect by some publications. The system lists St. Clair as the No. 10 player out of Ohio for the class of 2025 and the 25th QB in the country.

While the main focus is currently on the 2024 recruiting class, St. Clair is the 2nd player in 2025 to pledge Ohio State. Jontae Gilbert, a 5-star safety out of Georgia, is the other commit.

Here’s a look at what St. Clair brings to the table via his Hudl highlights:
